# Get Monitor Message

> The **monitor_get_message** API returns one stored message with its authentication details, selected headers and a text preview, and optionally the original message.
#### Header:
**X-CC-API-Key**: Your API Key
#### Parameters:
_Required:_
- **message_id**: From **monitor_get_messages**.
_Optional:_
- **include_eml**: (true/**false**) Adds **eml_base64**, the original message (up to 10 MB). Limit: 10 a minute.
#### Response:
The fields from **monitor_get_messages**, plus **first_seen_at**, **last_seen_at**, **authentication.dkim_domain**, **sender_ip**, **preview** (first 300 characters of text), **headers** (selected headers) and **has_eml**.
