# Get Monitor Seeds

> The **monitor_get_seeds** API returns the seed addresses for the Inbox Placement Monitor. Add these addresses to your normal sends as regular **To** recipients (not Cc or Bcc), sending from a verified domain, and every copy that reaches a seed is recorded with the folder it landed in.

Available with an active plan that includes Inbox Placement Monitor (The Works or the Inbox Placement Tester plan), or to an account that has used Inbox Placement Monitor before. Inbox Placement Monitor calls don't use API credits.
#### Header:
**X-CC-API-Key**: Your API Key
#### Response:
- **count**: The number of seed addresses.
- **seeds**: The seed addresses.
   - **address**: The seed email address.
   - **provider**: The mailbox provider (e.g. Gmail, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com / Hotmail, Yahoo).
   - **provider_key**: The value to use in filters for **monitor_get_messages** and alerts.

#### Limits (all Inbox Placement Monitor endpoints):
60 calls a minute per account, 120 a minute per client IP. Above that you get HTTP **429** with a **Retry-After** header.

In the event of an error, you will get an "**error**:" response with a description of the reason.
